I've completed the 10 days of antibiotics prescribed by my doctor. Yes, thank you. Unfortunately, I still have a wonderful ringing sensation in my ear. It arrived on Monday and has yet to dissipate. If you're curious what it's like, I'll tell you. It's like my left ear went to some super awesome concert and was placed a bit to close to the speaker. And now it can't hear anything but ringing. My right ear, however, wasn't invited to the concert and so is fine. I called the doctor yesterday and the doctor said that this wasn't abnormal when you get ear infections, which was great to hear. She also said that it could last from two to six weeks. this news was not as wonderful for me. I will say it would suck to have this going on for six weeks. I'm no longer hearing in stereo so my depth perception on sounds is horribly off. I also say "What?" a lot now.
In other news, my boy's received an ear infection also. Like father, like son, eh? He doesn't take the pills 3 times a day, he gets the good ol bubble gum flavored liquid amoxicillan. We were wondering what was wrong as he had a fever of 104.5+ last Sunday, and it stayed for a couple days with no other symptoms. Then it left on Wednesday, so he went back to school, which may have been the mistake that brought it back. Because Thursday his fever was back and better than ever. Well, it was back at least. He went in yesterday to the doctor because it had been more than five days, and ear infection was the verdict.
In other news, due to the weather, I've only had two 45 minute practices with my new T-ballers. This is unfortunate as our first game is in three weeks and I haven't been really able to work on anything with them. Which could push back the development back a lot. Which could make this season a lot longer. But we'll see. I've only got 11 kids this year, I had 13 last year. So that's going to make some things easier. Hopefully.
