We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things

The Casa de Wally has recently received a couple technological improvements over the past weekend. Due to the horrible state of the economy and the $ we're going to be getting back from taxes, and from my wife's place of employment's class action lawsuit payout, we had a bit of extra cash to blow. So we did what any normal person would do to celebrate America's Superhero Wakkabama setting the world free from the depression. I went out on Valentine's night and bought us a Wii. It's quite exciting still at this time. And T really loves it. He's pretty good at the baseball and bowling. His form isn't great, but the results are there. When I returned home, my wife pointed out how I must have looked walking into Best Buy on Valentine's day at 7 pm to buy a video game system. Even the guy that sold it to me asked if I'd need an extra controller. Which is something they're supposed to ask, but still, seemed funny.

So while enjoying the wonder of the Wii on Sunday morning, we were perusing the advertisements in the local news ledger, and my wife noticed a special at Staples where you got an 8 GB iPod Nano, case, screen protectors, splitter, FM transmitter, AC and DC charger for $160 after a ten dollar rebate. She had a $50 off coupon that was supposed to be online only, but after the purchase of our cordless telephones a couple months ago, we now know to just go into the store and do it all there. So she was in the Staples completing this online transaction when the manager came up and asked if she'd rather take it home today. So he proceeded to ring up her purchase in the store. She gave him the online only coupon and through his grandness, he rang up the package for $43 and change. So with the ten dollar rebate, this iPod plus will only cost $33.

So since she needed to add songs to it, I realized that the portable hard drive that I have all the songs on has many, many corrupted folders. So now most of those songs are gone. Unless I can manage to get them off my iPod onto the computer. This is a feat that I know is possible, but I'm hesitant to do it because i don't want to lost all my tunes. Please don't let all my songs be gone. Of course, there's always a chance I can get all these songs from family members.
